| :i have 2 Nissan dealerships here.the only reason that i will go to either of them is for parts. this is my last episode.i developed an exhaust leak on a 98 Pathfinder.a buddy who so happens to be a 20 year Master who now has his own shop told me to take it to the dealership as the exhaust was still under warrantee.he ran my VIN number and gave me a printout showing me that the exhaust was covered until 2006 or 100k.
:B: i have a 1998 Pathfinder that i need new exhaust manifolds for
:service: that will be $1400 per side plus tax
:B: Holy...(cough) $3000? what are they made of...gold?
:service:theyre just a real expensive piece
:B: fortunately for me,my Pathfinder's exhaust is still under warrantee
:service:(cough...gasp) ummm...ahhh...whats your VIN number? the service guy goes and talks to the manager.i can see the manager shaking his head.
:service:im sorry sir...the warrantee ran out at 75k.you have 93k
:B: actually,the warrantee goes out at 100k for the exhaust.(i show him my printout)
:service: where did you get that from?
:B:from a Nissan dealership.
:service: (cough) well...ummm...ahhh
:B:hang on a sec.im on the phone with Nissan USA.i hate getting yanked around... so,they wind up putting new exhaust on the truck,and Nissan USA called me for 3 weeks just to chat and see if i was happy.
